All About Romance is a website that has been reviewing romance novels and celebrating romance readers since 1996. With over 16,000 reviews and tons of features, it is a treasure trove for anyone who loves romance books.

But as the website grew older, it also grew slower, messier, and harder to use. It was like a dusty old library that needed a makeover. That’s where we came in.

We are a team of experts who specialize in creating beautiful, fast, and user-friendly websites., so we were thrilled to work on this project.

Started the project by cleaning up the decades old database which was a also by removing redundant and outdated data that was taking up space and resources on the server. We optimized the database performance and security by using best practices and tools.

Re-designed the entire site with a fresh and modern look that matched the mood and style of romance novels and readers. We used bright colors, elegant fonts, and attractive images to create a visually appealing and inviting website.

To render dynamic content such as reviews, blogs, podcasts, polls, forums, and more, custom coded templates were used. The content was made easy to read, navigate, and share on social media.

Custom post types such as reviews, authors, genres, etc. had custom built archives. Users could browse and filter the archives by various criteria such as rating, publication date, popularity, etc.

A power search function was custom built to allow users to query 16k records of reviews with ease. Users could search for reviews by keywords, genres, authors, ratings, etc. and get relevant and accurate results in seconds.
